We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer for a contract period of approximately 12 months, with possible extension.
The Senior Finance Officer is a crucial link between all of the SA Arid Lands Landscape Board's programs through supporting successful budget management. This includes a broad variety of tasks encompassing revenue, expenditure, reconciliations, grant administration, audit, budget and variance analysis and reporting.
You will be supporting and working with a success-driven, collaborative, fun and multi-disciplinary team, each working with community, industry, First Nations groups, conservation sector and many other partners in protecting, managing, restoring and sustaining our environment and its many values.
About the role:
The Senior Finance Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering a range of financial, accounts management, governance and procurement functions and services to support leadership and staff. The role coordinates and undertakes the accurate input, maintenance and update of financial data and asset related information in relevant systems, undertakes financial data and report extraction and assessment processes, and prepares a range of reporting to inform decision making.
The Senior Finance Officer is also responsible for coordinating and undertaking budget management processes, including providing staff and leadership with information, uploading and reconciling budgets, preparing and analysing budget variations and monitoring budget controls and the integrity of financial systems. The role also provides advice, guidance and reporting in relation to procurement, contract management and grant administration processes and the application of related policies, procedures and audit requirements.
