The Principal Business Analyst is responsibilities includes the development of pre-project and project documentation associated with Information Communication & Technology (ICT) initiatives that contributes to the success of the ICT Project. In contrast to conventional ICT Business Analyst roles, the Principal Business Analyst focus is not technical and instead provides a high level of support to the Portfolio Management Office, the Director, Portfolio and Investment Office, to contribute to the overall future direction of the QAS through the provision of quality, timely and appropriate ICT business analysis services that meet the needs of the organisation.We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Demonstrated prior experience in performing a Business Analyst role within a Portfolio Management Office, or similar, with responsibility for developing pre-project or PMO artefacts, preferably within a government environment.
- Proven ability to communicate complex information effectively and professionally to operational and support staff and senior executive management in an environment of change.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience, coupled with highly developed critical thinking, conceptual and analytical skills to identify concepts, strategies and issues associated with ICT Portfolio Management and technology related practices.
- Proven effective client/stakeholder engagement and relationship building capability and commitment to customer service and collaborative teamwork.
- Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
- Whilst not mandatory, a relevant tertiary and/or business-related qualification will be highly regarded.
