About the role


Sense OT Pty Ltd is seeking awesome humans to join our team, who also happen to be either a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist or Physiotherapist with early years' experience to join our fun, dedicated, and experienced team in Chelsea Heights, Victoria. We are flexible in being able to offer a range of positions including; Independent Contractor, Part-Time and Full-Time based at our inviting paediatric clinic, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families, locally. Let's face it, with the upcoming travel changes to NDIS service provision, we value our onsite clinic and therapy spaces for those who wish to come in and visit us.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing comprehensive discipline-specific assessments and interventions for children with a wide range of developmental needs.

  • Opportunities to provide Inclusive Education consultation and support Disability Inclusion Profile applications, recommending individualised adjustments with our partnering local schools.

  • Collaborating with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised therapy support plans.

  • Utilising evidence-based practices to support each child's development in a range of domains using a relationship-focused model of practice, strength-based approach, and including meaningful and play-cased learnings.

  • These roles may include facilitating small group therapy programs onsite or within our local partnering schools, as well as offering inclusive education consultancy within schools for our share-clients.

  • Maintaining timely and detailed client records, as well as contributing to the continuous improvement of our paediatric therapy services through regular in-house professional development and case discussions.

  • Joining our fortnightly multidisciplinary team meetings to share your knowledge, grow your own skills, and discuss unique client cases.

  • Engaging in internal and external clinical supervision

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in OT/Speech/Psychology or Physiotherapy

  • Discipline-specific membership

  • Working with children check (WWCC)

  • Clear professional work history with no restrictions to work in your profession

  • Experience working with children including early years

  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, goal-setting, evidence-based interventions & documentation

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams

  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families

  • Current Australian Drivers License and own reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children in your clinical role

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain if required
