About the role:
Vivir Healthcare is looking for dedicated Allied Health Assistants to join our team and support qualified professionals in delivering exceptional care in the community. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing home-based support and assisting with Telehealth services under the guidance of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech Pathologists. You will play a key role in delivering services that improve the well-being of elderly individuals, supporting them with daily living skills and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
Occupational Therapy Duties:
· Assist in consumer services in living environments and support Telehealth services.
· Construct, adjust, demonstrate, and fit aids and equipment (including splints).
· Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, help consumers with self-care, daily living skills, rehabilitation, and home modification assessments.
· Report any unusual circumstances or independent actions taken.
Physiotherapy Duties:
· Assist consumers with exercise and rehabilitation programs.
· Deliver and adjust self-care and rehabilitation equipment to consumers’ homes.
· Demonstrate how to use equipment.
· Help with transfers and move consumers safely within their home, to hospitals, or treatment locations.
Speech Pathology Duties:
· Assist in therapy under the guidance of a Speech Pathologist, following a suitable program.
· Train and support consumers in the use of alternative communication systems (both electronic and non-electronic).
· Help make or prepare equipment for consumer use.

Required: Skills and Qualifications
· Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle
· Professional indemnity insurance, or willingness to obtain.
· Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
