Are you a strategic Work Health and Safety leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and building strong community and interagency partnerships?We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Director to lead the delivery and performance of the Moreton, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Region Region of the Work Health and Safety Compliance and Field Services directorate. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for setting strategic direction, enhancing service delivery, managing resources, and fostering a high-performing and safe workplace.
As the Regional Director you will lead the Moreton, Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Region of the Work Health and Safety Compliance and Field Services directorate to drive strategic direction, operational performance, interagency and community relations, resource and priority management, financial management, and leadership and people management and performance.
Key Responsibilities Include
- contribute to the development of workplace health and safety strategy and ‘Whole of Region' business.
- ensure Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) capability to meet existing and future needs.
- provide direction and oversight of key business functions and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
- ensure service delivery is consistent and responsive to client and stakeholder needs and that services are enhanced.
- create and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with other relevant agencies.
- ensure resources are efficiently managed and that staff can deliver results through effective leadership.
- ensure the health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) of regional staff over which you have responsibility - this includes ensuring you and your staff are aware of and observe their HSW responsibilities including under relevant OIR HSW policies and procedures.
