ABOUT THE ROLE:

The HR Administrator & Administrative Assistant will be passionate about operating in a truly versatile profile. From providing support on recruitment, onboarding, engagement, learning and performance for all employees, the aim is to expose this role to a wide spectrum of HR Generalist portfolio through supplying the stakeholders with a trusted point of contact within HR. This person will also provide administration duties for the site as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the first point of contact for HR related queries across a broad range of generalist areas
  • Coordinate the recruitment process for candidates, placing advertisements on recruitment channels, pre-employment activities, interview schedules for candidates and hiring managers for a variety of roles (blue and white-collar), engage with labour hire companies
  • Coordinate orientations, inductions, onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain updates of key documents such as policies, procedures, appraisal forms, position descriptions, skills-matrix
  • Support in implementation, maintenance and administration of the HRIS
  • Actively contribute to the delivery of social activities, diversity and inclusion events and employee engagement activities
  • Coordinate training and development activities
  • Liaison with payroll for monthly pay processing pay cycles for the site
  • Assist with administration duties as required

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite - MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and a genuine passion for people learning and improvement
  • Possesses a positive attitude, high ethical standards and conducts themself professionally
  • Organised, trustworthy and dependable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a flexible team environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years in Human Resources/Administrative/People and Culture/Training/Learning/Recruitment/Generalist/Specialist role
  • Previous experience in contracts administration/data entry in the automotive industry preferred but not essential
  • Excellent phone communication with a clear speaking voice
  • SharePoint Experience – Preferred but not essential
  • Epicor or MRP system experience – Preferred but not essential
  • ELMO - HRIS Experience – Preferred but not essential

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
