Position Title: Industrial Cleaner (Food Production)Location: Crestmead, Brisbane
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team in a high-volume food production facility located in Crestmead. This essential role is responsible for maintaining the highest hygiene standards throughout the site, ensuring full compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and OH&S protocols.
This position suits individuals with strong cleaning experience in industrial or food manufacturing environments and a proactive approach to workplace safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep cleaning of production areas, equipment, machinery, and surfaces according to scheduled cleaning rosters
- Ensure thorough sanitation and disinfection in all food contact and non-contact areas
- Use industrial-grade cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with procedures
- Complete cleaning records, logs, and checklists accurately to meet compliance standards
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and report any hazards, unsafe practices, or maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of cleaning equipment and storage areas
- Work collaboratively with production and QA teams to uphold hygiene standards
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, preferably within food production or manufacturing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and chemical handling procedures (HACCP knowledge desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive manual tasks (lifting, bending, standing)
- Flexible with availability to work various shifts, including early mornings or nights
