Mechanic - Outdoor Power Equipment

Up to $40 p/h (depending on experience) | Permanent Full-Time | 38 hours per week

About the Role
This is a hands-on mechanical role working with a wide variety of outdoor power equipment, from ride-on and push mowers to chainsaws and brush cutters. You'll be involved in servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and workshop support. The role will be tailored to your skill level - experienced candidates can take on more advanced work and mentoring, while entry-level applicants will receive full on-the-job training and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair small engine and outdoor power equipment
- Perform equipment setups and pre-delivery inspections
- Assist with workshop maintenance and safety
- Support warranty repairs and technical documentation
- Help maintain a clean, organised workspace
- Provide guidance or receive mentorship, depending on experience
What We're Looking For
We're open to applicants with varying levels of experience - whether you're trade-qualified or just getting started, the right attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
✔ A genuine interest in mechanics or outdoor equipment
✔ Experience with tools or mechanical work (workshop, TAFE, school, or on the job)
✔ Strong work ethic - reliable, punctual, and team-focused
✔ Willingness to learn and grow (for entry-level candidates)
✔ Diagnostic and fault-finding ability (for experienced candidates)
✔ Trade qualification or equivalent experience is desirable, but not essential
✔ Current driver's licence preferred
