Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We currently have a fantastic opportunity within St Michaels for a motivated and driven individual to join our team as Trainee - Rostering Officer.
Reporting to the Team Coordinator, Rostering, this role will provide rostering processing and administrative support to the Association.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support across all aspects of the rostering process, including updating the rosters and working with the team to fill all vacant shifts on a daily basis and maintaining the tools associated with rostering across a number of programs.
To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience in administration and/or customer service and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and complete work accurately and on time. You will have excellent attention to detail, be a hardworking team player and a desire to learn and grow in the role.
We are interested in meeting candidates who have a genuine interest in pursuing an entry level traineeship, a career in Disability Services and someone who can demonstrate their commitment towards providing a high-quality service.
In return, you will be given the opportunity to be trained in and learn all aspects of the disability support function whilst working for one of Tasmania’s largest disability organisations that supports Tasmanians to achieve their goals. The successful candidate will also work to achieve a Certificate III in Business or equivalent.
The position is full time.
This is a SACS Level 1 paying role. As a not-for-profit business in the Disability Sector, you will be entitled to salary packaging benefits.
Skills and Experience

Previous experience in administration / customer service.

Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and complete work accurately and on time.

Discretion, sound judgement and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Disability Services.

Excellent administration skills including in the use of MS Office.

Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Self-starter with high levels of motivation and strong drive to learn and grow.

Ability to communicate with participants, staff, parents, external agencies and funding bodies under direction from the rostering team whilst maintaining appropriate level of confidentiality.

Current Working with Vulnerable People Card (or ability to obtain).

Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
