People Branch provides high-quality, timely and accessible services to support and strengthen our workforce. Reporting to the Assistant Secretary as a Director in the People Branch you will:
- Contribute to and deliver on the workplan and priorities of the People Branch
- Drive reform of our services, systems and practices.
- Lead the delivery of workforce initiatives and people services that drive performance, integrity, wellbeing, and safety, while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Build relationships, influence outcomes, and communicate complex information clearly across diverse audiences.
- Identify risks, manage sensitive and/or complex issues, and develop proactive, practical solutions.
- Monitor and report on workforce issues and the operations of our services.
- Harness opportunities and delivering outcomes through their team and broader colleagues.
- Invest in employee capability through education, coaching, and tailored support.
Duties And Responsibilities
We are looking for motivated leaders and talented individuals ready to inspire purpose and direction, develop capability and customer-centred services, nurture relationships, strive to achieve high-quality outcomes and encourage others to do the same.
If you have expertise and/or demonstrated achievement in the following specialities, we would love to hear from you.
- Workplace relations (including pay, conditions, policy, and union engagement).
- Enterprise bargaining and enterprise agreement implementation.
- Managing payroll services (outsourced and in-house models).
- Management of industrial disputes, reviews or applications with external bodies such as the Fair Work Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission or a Court.
- Work health and safety (including psychosocial safety and wellbeing).
- Health, compensation and rehabilitation case management.
- Probation, performance, complaints and conduct case management.
