- Initial 2-year contract until 20/08/2027 with possible extension paying from $1091/day
- Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing cyber security projects
The initial project assignment is to provide a high level of specialist project management support to the Cyber Security Program of work, however the resource model structure encourages a more flexible way of working and during your contract period you may find yourself working on one or more initiatives in conjunction with/or in place of the initial assignment.
Key tasks / responsibilities:
- Leading a project team to meet project deliverables, objectives, and stakeholder expectations.
- Preparing key project artefacts e.g. stakeholder management, resource management, task allocation, reporting, project board requirements, and change management plans and strategies.
- Developing and executing activities related to end-to-end project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment.
- Proactively monitoring, managing and reporting on execution of project deliverables.
- Communicating effectively using multiple methods (verbal, written and nonverbal) and channels with stakeholders, including team and sponsors across multiple aspects of the project.
- Actively managing the current integrated project schedule ensuring appropriate change management activities are undertaken to enable a smooth transition to BAU.
- Delivering continuous improvements to the operating model, in consultation with the IT Project Board, Customer and Supplier.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing cyber security projects.
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices and Australian Government security standards, including the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential 8.
- Proven record of managing projects that achieve/uphold security certifications such as Essential 8, ISM.
- Practical experience managing cyber assurance activities including reviews of system documentation, threat and risk assessments, penetration testing, code and configuration reviews and compliance reporting.
- Senior Project Management delivering transformative Information Communication Technology (ICT) projects in a complex setting using PRINCE2 methodology
- Ability to maintain project schedules using contemporary tools like Microsoft Project and desired experience in Microsoft Enterprise Portfolio Online.
- Ability to lead the development of the governance artefacts required to ensure the delivery for the life of the project.
- Ability to provide leadership of project resources to ensure key staff, stakeholders and vendors deliver the required ICT-enabled business outcomes.
- Ability to build team culture focused on a successful delivery
- Stakeholder engagement and management skills in highly political environment, including the ability to manage senior stakeholders and provide a clear understanding of the impacts of risks and issues for decision making in a timely fashion.
- Ability to communicate technical and non-technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.

Casual Loading
Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
