About the role
The role may be full time or part-time and offers hands-on experience in a supportive environment, ideal for doctors seeking exposure to Mental Health speciality. As a Hospital Medical Officer, you will work closely with Consultants, Nursing Staff and Allied Health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient centred care. The role involves ward rounds, clinical documentation, admission assessments and participation in on call rosters.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe and effective medical care under supervision.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and implement management plans.

Assist with procedures and clinical decision-making.

Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Participate in education sessions, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
About you

General Registration with AHPRA
-
PGY2+ with interest or experience in mental health

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
