Description:
To be Successful you will have the following:- No degree required but construction experience desired
- Great computer skills
- An understanding of quality/safety/road infrastructure
- May suit a candidate who has been a Project Support Officer/Coordinator but must be willing to work outside
- Candidates must be in possession of a Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects or ability to acquire one within 18 months
- Assist in the preparation of the quality, environmental and traffic management sections of the project plan.
- Ensure that safety, quality, environmental and traffic management plans are reviewed and updated regularly.
- Establish and maintain the project filing system in consultation with the Project Manager and/or Project Management Support Officer.
- Audit, record, review and monitor quality, environment and safety procedures for job sites and depots, and current standards and practices are followed as reflected in H21, with a focus on continual improvement.
- Carry out project document control for all site documents.
- Carry out site inductions as required.
- Provide reports as required to Project Manager/System Coordinator.
- Ensure monthly environmental, traffic management and safety inspections are completed, and reports submitted to the Project Manager.
- Assist Project Manager and Environmental Officer in the management of environmental incidents.
- Actively participate and contribute in daily pre-start, project team meetings and other nominated meetings as required.
- Accept responsibility for assigned work activities.
