The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the development and implementation of advanced control strategies for energy districts. This role is situated in the Digital Building Technologies section at DTU Construct, focusing on enhancing energy efficiency and demand management in district heating systems and energy communities.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to conduct cutting-edge research with real-world applications, collaborating with both academic and industrial partners. The position is full-time and offered for a period of two years, with a preferred start date of 1 October 2025 or as mutually agreed.
Requirements
– PhD degree (or near completion) in control engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related engineering field with a focus on energy systems
– Experience in district heating modelling, advanced controller development, and smart energy systems is advantageous
– Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
– Proactive approach to research, with a commitment to high-quality dissemination through conferences and journal publications
– Willingness to participate in course development, teaching, and supervision of students
