About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Maritime Acquisition delivery team based in Flinders Street, Adelaide CBD,
Reporting to the Head of Business Establishment, this role will be responsible for effectively engaging stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve project requirements efficiently, effectively and safely.
This role will require the application of Project Management principles to achieve desired outcomes within the cost, schedule and quality constraints while managing key deliverables.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the development of the Australian Shipbuilding Capability Realisation Plan (ASCRP), including all necessary approvalsSupport the development of capability progression over time and support the cohesion of related program activities and plansSupport the broader establishment team in developing delivery plansDefining scope of work, planning and delivery of projectsEnsure integration across multiple stakeholders to deliver Build Strategy objectivesTrack and report progress and forecast final targets for cost and scheduleFostering a positive collaborative culture between key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, sub-contractors and suppliersEnsuring all project requirements and/ or objectives are properly documented in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate and vigorously pursuedIdentify project opportunities and risks and develop mitigation strategies for pursuit throughout contract phases. Monitor and report on the status of risks and opportunitiesChair and coordinate working group collation of actions and minutes
About YOU
Tertiary qualifications in Project ManagementDemonstrated experience in project management on significant programsProven experience delivering successful projects in addition to stakeholder engagement and management skillsDemonstrated knowledge of project management principlesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalSound knowledge of Microsoft office suite of programsNV1 Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain
