About the Role

The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll for Ironbark employees. This role requires expertise in administering multiple awards, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining a high level of accuracy across all payroll functions.

The Payroll Officer will confidently utilise the Employment Hero payroll platform to manage payroll operations, superannuation contributions, salary packaging, salary sacrifice arrangements, and monthly reconciliations. They will also conduct regular file audits to ensure compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.

We are looking for an applicant who has:

• Certificate IV Payroll Administration or equivalent qualifications or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Employment Hero payroll platform or similar cloud-based payroll systems.

• Knowledge of payroll compliance requirements including PAYG, STP, and Fair Work obligations.

• Strong understanding of superannuation, salary packaging, and salary sacrifice processes.

• Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and MYOB.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within a fortnightly cycle.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and at all levels of diversity.
