Description:
Opportunity:The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex and high-value projects, focusing on planning, execution, and completion. Working in a collaborative dual-leadership model with the Site Supervision, the Project Manager handles all project management aspects, including planning, budget control, procurement, and client engagement. This partnership ensures seamless alignment between on-site operations and overarching project objectives while adhering to safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including site supervision, engineering, procurement, and external contractors, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the development and implementation of detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Oversee procurement, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Manage project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaborate with the Site Supervision to coordinate and support on-site activities.
- Work closely with the Site Supervision to align project objectives with on-site execution.
- Maintain open communication and joint decision-making to address project challenges and ensure operational success.
- Ensure both site and project management activities align with client requirements and organisational goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to support project success.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial performance aligns with approved targets.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising project quality or timelines.
- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for review by senior management.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Proactively adapt plans to overcome challenges and maintain project momentum.
- Ensure all project activities comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain compliance with legal, environmental, and client-specific requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation of quality assurance processes and outcomes.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- Experience in power generation and dewatering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management roles, particularly in collaborative environments.
- Strong project management expertise with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address complex challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering high-value projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
