Job description:
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our Kwinana plant. This role offers an even-time, lifestyle-oriented roster consisting of continuous day shifts, providing the flexibility to enjoy personal pursuits outside of work.
Reporting directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of mechanical maintenance activities on process plant equipment, in accordance with the maintenance schedule and established work instructions.

Profile description:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development across the business.
- Continuous improvement of the preventative maintenance strategy.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of equipment as per the schedule focusing on maintaining safety and maximising reliability.
- Initiate and complete work orders. Ensuring timely close out of work. Feedback information, reports and checklists to the SAP system and relevant parties.
- Complete tasks assigned based on priority. Ensure assigned work is completed safely abiding by company and statutory quality requirements.
- Provide immediate response to break downs. Fault find, diagnose, scope, plan and repair the failed equipment. Work closely with operations to maintain the uptime of the plant.
- Strips assess and repair mechanical equipment on site.
- Scope corrective work orders to facilitate the work planning process.
- Monitor stock of mechanical consumable and order as required.
- Undertake relief positions within relevant skills and competencies to support operations at Tianqi.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering Tradesperson (Mechanical) Qualification.
- Minimum of five years' experience in Fixed plant maintenance within a chemical processing or refining facility.
- Fixed plant maintenance with rotating equipment experience in a mechanical discipline, with paramount commitment and experience performing routine monitoring/lubrication specific tasks.
- Demonstrate commitment to facilitating and maintaining site lubrication facility
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with team members and liaise with all levels of the organization.
- High Risk License preferably EWP, Dogman and Forklift.
- Commitment to training and up-skilling self and team members.
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office suite applications.
- Current ‘C' Class driver's licence.
DESIRABLE
- Condition Monitoring / Lubrication Courses.
- SAP experience.
- High risk license - CN, C6, Basic rigging, EWP and Dogman.
- Supervised Gas Fitter.
- National accreditation Confined Space.
- National accreditation Working at Heights.
