Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals with varying needs and abilities. Your role is crucial in enhancing their wellbeing and fostering community inclusion, while ensuring a safe and compliant support environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualised daily support aligned with client care plans
- Assist clients with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication
- Encourage social and community participation
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients and their circles
- Maintain accurate records and incident reporting
- Uphold all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
- Support clients with emotional regulation and behavioural challenges, if required
Working Hours
- Varied roster including day, evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts
- Flexibility to meet client needs, including sleepover and active night shifts
- Scheduling considerations are made during interviews to support balance
What You’ll Bring
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow procedures while being adaptable to individual needs
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People check, First Aid certification, NDIS Worker Screening, and Driver’s Licence
