Continuing | Full-Time Academic Level B | $113,211 to $133,974 pa plus 17% superannuation Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description

About the Position:

The College of Government, Business and Law is seeking a Lecturer in Political Economy to contribute to the quality research, planning and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching with a focus on political economy and international political economy

Your research will align with and/or contribute to one or more of the College’s leading research centres, the Jeff Bleich Centre, Centre for Social Impact, or Flinders Factory of the Future. You will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals, pursue competitive research funding, supervise honours and HDR students, and build meaningful academic and industry partnerships.

Ideally, your expertise will focus on one or more of the following areas:

International political economy Asian/East Asian region Climate and environment Geoeconomics

This position is open to international candidates and relocation and visa support is available.

About You

You will bring a strong foundation in both research and teaching within a tertiary context. You are an emerging or established scholar with a growing publication record, experience in curriculum delivery and development, and a commitment to inclusive, cross-cultural education.

Additional responsibilities for this balanced teaching and research position include:

Completion of a PhD Demonstrated experience or ability to deliver offshore programs (i.e. in China) (Desirable). Some interstate and overseas travel may be required

You are required to submit your CV and a Suitability Statement of no more than 3 pages, addressing the below Key Position Capabilities of the Position Description: Evidence of teaching in political economy in a tertiary environment with an expertise in one of the following areas: International political economy, Asian/East Asian region, Climate and environment or Geoeconomics. Demonstrated evidence of a strong research track record (for career stage) in an area aligned with research strengths in political economy. Demonstrated capacity to contribute to supervision of honours or Masters / Higher Degree students. Demonstrated experience or ability to deliver offshore programs (i.e. in China) (Desirable)
