Exercise Physiologist
Survivor Physiology, located in Bowen, North QLD, is seeking an Exercise Physiologists to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our clinic, you will play an integral role in supporting client care, fitness training, and collaborating with our Snr Exercise Physiologists to enhance health outcomes in our community.

Role Overview:
As an Exercise Physiologist at Survivor Physiology, you will play a crucial role in assessing, designing, implementing exercise programs tailored to clients' needs and Rehabilitation protocols. You will work closely with individuals to improve their overall health and fitness, manage chronic conditions, managing rehab protocols and enhance athletic performance through evidence-based exercise prescriptions. Your expertise in physiological assessments, exercise prescription, and client education will contribute to the clinic's mission of promoting health and well-being within the community. The role is based around Youth athletes, NDIS, DVA, Private clients, Workcover and medicare.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Assessment and Evaluation:
· Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' medical history, fitness levels, and goals.
· Perform physical evaluations, including cardiovascular fitness, strength, flexibility, and assessing injuries.
2. Development of Exercise Design/Programs:
· Design and implement personalised exercise programs based on client assessments, scientific principles, and best practices in exercise physiology.
· Monitor and adjust exercise programs to ensure effectiveness and safety.
3. Client Education and Support:
· Educate clients on the benefits of exercise, proper technique, and injury prevention strategies.
· Provide ongoing guidance, motivation, and support to clients throughout their fitness journey.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
· Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, doctors, and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated care and holistic treatment plans.
· Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment progress and recommendations.
5.Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including assessment findings, progress notes, and treatment plans.
· Prepare clear and concise reports for referring physicians and healthcare providers as required.
6. Professional Development:
· Stay updated on the latest research, trends, and developments in exercise physiology and related fields.
· Participate in professional development activities, including workshops, conferences, and continuing education courses.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in Exercise Physiology
· Accreditation with ESSA – Or obtaining after graduation.
· Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Experience:
· Willing to take on new graduate exercise physiologists
· Ideally experience in the exercise physiology industry
· Experience in conducting fitness assessments, developing detailed individualised exercise program and delivering exercise prescription.
· However, we are happy to train and offer support to inexperienced candidates
Desirable
·
· Proficiency in using exercise prescription software and health monitoring tools
· Ability to deliver group exercise classes and workshops on health and fitness topics.
