About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking skilled and compassionate Plastic Surgery Consultants to join our Plastic Surgery unit.

As a Plastic Surgery Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to patients requiring reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities include:

• assess, diagnose and provide comprehensive surgical consultations to patients requiring plastic surgery procedures
• perform complex reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures with precision and compassion
• collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• contribute to the ongoing education and mentorship of medical students, residents and junior staff
• actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and research endeavours within the department

To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.

The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital – A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
