Located just steps from the sand in beautiful Wollongong , our vibrant beachside bar is a local favourite known for its laid-back atmosphere, exceptional service, and stunning ocean views. With three versatile event spaces , we host everything from intimate gatherings to large celebrations and corporate functions.
We’re on the lookout for a Functions Coordinator who’s passionate about delivering exceptional events and creating memorable experiences for every guest. If you're a natural organiser with a flair for hospitality—and a knack for sales—we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing the end-to-end coordination of private social & business events across our three unique function spaces
- Responding to enquiries and converting leads into bookings through excellent communication and follow-up
- Meeting with clients to plan and personalise their events
- Working closely with our bar, kitchen, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution
- Preparing function sheets, floorplans, and timelines
- Maintaining clear communication with suppliers, entertainment, and vendors as required
- Being present on event days to support setup, service flow, and client satisfaction
- Managing post-event follow-up and feedback
- Working closely with the General Manager to increase productively and efficiency of Function Operations.
- Managing Function areas on non event days to ensure they are fit for site visits.
- Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality (3+ years preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you’re confident with clients and love building relationships
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to juggle multiple events and stay calm under pressure
- Comfortable working weekends and evenings when required
- A background in sales or a customer-facing role is highly desirable
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and/or event management software (a plus)
