About the Role:
Sedgman Prudentia is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our growing team in Brisbane. With a strong pipeline of multi-discipline projects across the Minerals Processing, Energy, and Chemicals sectors, this role offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams.
You will work closely with clients and multi-discipline stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions across both greenfield and brownfield projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, providing technical expertise and guidance.
- Oversee and contribute to detailed design projects in the Minerals Processing, Energy, and Chemicals industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver outstanding design solutions.
- Provide technical advisory and support throughout various project phases.
- Utilise expertise in hazard analysis and process engineering to ensure project success.
Role Requirements & Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in relevant engineering.
- Qualification in Chemical/Process Engineering
- Demonstrated experience working on multi-discipline projects.
- Background in precious metals refining, highly regarded.
- Proven experience in detailed design and addressing technical queries.
- Familiarity with hazard analysis tools and processes.
Skills:
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in both conceptual and detailed design work.
- Technical proficiency in process engineering.

Strong understanding of project management principles and controls.
- Experience with hydraulics packages for comprehensive system analysis.
- Experience with HAZOP or LOPA facilitation is advantageous but not essential.
