Your Role in Our Vision
As a Metal Fabricator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Council’s assets are not only maintained but also enhanced through innovative fabrication and repair solutions. Your craft will breathe life into our projects, ensuring every weld and installation meets the highest standards of safety and functionality.
Your Responsibilities Will Encompass
- Conducting reactive repairs and pro-active maintenance to keep our infrastructure in peak condition.
- Fabricating and installing metal structures that support our community’s needs.
- Interpreting technical documents to deliver solutions that are practical and precise.
- Engaging in continuous improvement to elevate our work practises and outcomes.
We are looking for a skilled tradesperson who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a passion for metal fabrication. Your ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and prioritise tasks will set you apart as a candidate.
- You will have proven experience working in a similar role post apprenticeship
- Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication or Welding/Boilermaker (Cert 3), Building Industry Induction Certificate (white card), Class C driver’s licence.
- Additional licences such as LH or HR driver’s licence and a forklift licence.
- Experience with MIG/TIG & stick welding and a strong understanding of technical plans.
