Description:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maryborough macadamia operations. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment, leading repairs, and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and repairing farm plant and equipment to minimise downtime
  • Developing a workshop maintenance plan and documentation
  • Leading the safe and timely delivery of workshop and field maintenance tasks
  • Assisting in the design, modification, and installation of new and existing farming equipment
  • Protecting and maintaining company assets across multiple farm sites
  • Contribute to maintenance budgets and capital expenditure planning
  • Supporting safety systems, processes, and training in line with WHS requirements
  • Acting as a role model for safe and ethical work behaviour
  • Supervising or working independently across various farm locations

Requirements

The following criteria are essential to be successful in this position:

  • Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical)
  • At least 5 years of relevant trade experience, ideally in an agricultural setting
  • Strong skills in plant maintenance, troubleshooting and fabrication
  • Experience with farm irrigation systems, GPS, and machinery (preferred)
  • Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Current C-class driver's licence
  • Forklift licence (required)
  • Additional tickets (crane, loader, rigger/dogger) are advantageous
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
