We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maryborough macadamia operations. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment, leading repairs, and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and repairing farm plant and equipment to minimise downtime
- Developing a workshop maintenance plan and documentation
- Leading the safe and timely delivery of workshop and field maintenance tasks
- Assisting in the design, modification, and installation of new and existing farming equipment
- Protecting and maintaining company assets across multiple farm sites
- Contribute to maintenance budgets and capital expenditure planning
- Supporting safety systems, processes, and training in line with WHS requirements
- Acting as a role model for safe and ethical work behaviour
- Supervising or working independently across various farm locations
The following criteria are essential to be successful in this position:
- Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical)
- At least 5 years of relevant trade experience, ideally in an agricultural setting
- Strong skills in plant maintenance, troubleshooting and fabrication
- Experience with farm irrigation systems, GPS, and machinery (preferred)
- Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Current C-class driver's licence
- Forklift licence (required)
- Additional tickets (crane, loader, rigger/dogger) are advantageous
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
