Description:
wayss is seeking a passionate and experienced Family Violence Practitioner to join our team in Dandenong, Contract till 30th June 2026. This multifaceted role supports several key programs including:
- Personal Safety Initiative (PSI)
- Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS)
- Intake Crisis Response (ICR)
- Family Violence Case Management (FVCM)
You’ll provide advocacy, safety planning, case management, and crisis support, including co-location at the Family Law Court in Dandenong when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement PSI operations and training
- Provide culturally appropriate support and advocacy
- Conduct risk assessments and safety planning using MARAM
- Deliver brief interventions and case management
- Liaise with Victoria Police and other key stakeholders
- Participate in training, supervision, and wellbeing initiatives
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or related field (or working towards it)
- Experience in the family violence sector (highly desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Resilience and empathy to support clients exposed to trauma
- Current Driver’s Licence and Working with Children Check
Mandatory Qualifications:
