  • VPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus superannuation

About the Business Unit:

The Barwon Southwest Prison Precinct incorporates four custodial facilities located 6km north-west of Lara, 20km from the centre of Geelong and about 70km from Melbourne. The four custodial facilities consist of two maximum security prisons being HM Prison Barwon and Western Plains Correctional Centre and medium security prison Marngoneet Correctional Centre and Karreenga Annex.

The Facility and Assets group was established as a portion of the Barwon Precinct to provide local and contracted facility and asset management service that has consistent and transparent service levels.

About the Role:

This role provides supports the Facility and Assets group management and provides concierge / front desk services to the Barwon Precinct Statewide Services Building, which provides centralised accommodation for support services that assist operations of the Barwon Precinct prisons, including HR, Payroll, Intelligence, Security Standard, Systems and Reporting and Monitoring, and the Facility and Assets group.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Providing concierge / front desk services to the Barwon Precinct Statewide Services Building.
  • Managing room bookings within the Barwon Precinct Statewide Services Building.
  • Receiving deliveries.
  • Providing time-to-time administrative support to the Barwon Precinct Facility and Assets leadership.

About You:

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Administration and front desk experience.
  • Discretion, judgement, and relevant theoretical knowledge in providing clerical, administrative, and operational service delivery.
  • A willingness to be open to new ideas and approaches while offering own opinions, asking questions and making suggestions.
  • The ability to contributes ideas toward improving the effectiveness of own work area.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Business or equivalent is desirable.
