Description:
Nextt are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and animal-loving Support Worker to assist a 59-year-old male living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) , Spinal Cord Injury , chronic pain , and history of stroke . The client is a full-time wheelchair user but is highly independent and currently does not require personal care support. He lives with his two beloved dogs and enjoys engaging conversations and home-cooked meals.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and engaging conversation, particularly around general interests and the client’s hobbies.
- Assist with household tasks, including cooking nutritious and enjoyable meals.
- Show initiative and be proactive in identifying ways to support the client’s daily life and comfort.
- Walk the client’s dogs regularly, accompanying him on outings.
- Drive the client’s vehicle for appointments, errands, or recreational outings.
Our client is seeking regular active shifts with the following times:
- 7:00am - 3:00pm
- 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- 11:00pm - 7:00am
E3.1 (Casual in home and SIL)
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $35.15
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
- Saturday: $49.21
- Sunday: $63.27
- Public holiday: $77.33

- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Current)

- Australian Driver's License
- Comprehensive Insurance on Vehicle
- NDIS Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- First Aid and CPR (Current)
- Must love dogs and feel comfortable interacting with and walking them.
- Confident cook , able to prepare a variety of healthy and satisfying meals.
- Must be proactive and take initiative during shifts without needing constant direction.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is essential.
- Physically able to support the client with activities like dog walking, although no personal care is currently required.
