About the role
ARRCS are actively sourcing a qualified Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team on a casual basis. As a casual employee, there is no guarantee of regular shifts – You will be contacted by the Workforce team with available shifts only – This role attracts an hourly pay rate of $36.59 - $38.19 / hour gross base +25% casual loading (dependent on experience).
Based out of our Darwin office and servicing clients within inner and regional Darwin, your role as Personal Care Worker – Home Care will see you travelling to people’s homes and providing care and support within the consumers home environment. Tasks include undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, showering, mobility and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience in either Aged or Disability care. You will be comfortable travelling to people’s homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle with full-comprehensive insurance. In addition, you must hold the following courses within your Certificate III qualification to be considered HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication and HLTAAP001/ Recognize healthy body systems.
You will have a caring and understanding approach, whilst also able to understand a consumer’s care-plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy travelling to people’s homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect.

Skills & experience:
To be considered for this role, we do has that you submit your resume and cover letter addressing the following requirements:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability or Home and Community Care.
- You must within your Certificate have the following courses:
- HLTHPS006 Assist clients with medication.
- HLTAAP001/ Recognise healthy body systems.
In addition to the above, it is mandatory for all ARRCS employees to have the below prior to your commencement – This is not required at application stage only if offered employment.
- A National Police Check within the last 3 months.
- Provide evidence of current Influenza Vaccination.
- NDIS Workers Screening check received or lodged.
