Description:
Join a well renowned, government-owned corporation in the Energy sector who are seeking a Mechanic to join their team in Alice Springs. You’ll provide invaluable technical expertise in mechanical maintenance. Your role will encompass both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of critical equipment.- Base up to $124k + Super + allowances
- On-call roster available to further increase earnings
- Gain up to two pay level increases per year
- Alice Springs - relocation assistance may be provided
- Perm role - 9 day fortnight, 37.5 hrs per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes and procedures
- Maintain gas/diesel reciprocating engines and electricity generation equipment
- Investigate critical plant incidents and complete technical reports
- Follow manufacturer's maintenance procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and participate in housekeeping duties
- Contribute to on-call roster and travel to other stations
- Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications with equivalent technical work experience on large reciprocating engines
- Valid NT Driver's Licence or equivalent.
- Experience in maintaining gas/diesel reciprocating engines.
- Ability to perform detailed fault-finding on industrial gas turbines and large reciprocating engines
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedure
