About the Company
Clean Agriculture and International Tourism (CAIT) is a Northern Australia-based pastoral and agricultural enterprise, backed by its Vietnamese parent company, TH Group — a leading agribusiness known for large-scale dairy operations and high-tech agricultural innovation.

CAIT manages over 730,000 hectares across the Northern Territory and Western Australia, with a strong focus on sustainable cattle production, pasture improvement, and scalable cropping programs, including forage cultivation and potential broadacre field crops.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder (First Class) to contribute to the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of metal structures and equipment across CAIT’s agricultural operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality welding tasks, fabricating metal components, and ensuring the integrity and safety of farming infrastructure and machinery.

The role is based on a remote cattle station approximately 200 km from the nearest town. This is a permanent, full-time position with the potential for long-term employment.

This role is essential for supporting large-scale agricultural land management and infrastructure projects in Northern Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing advanced welding tasks using techniques such as MIG, TIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment parts.
  • Inspecting welds and metal components for quality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Operating welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams to support farm infrastructure reliability.
  • Ensuring all work adheres to workplace health and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent qualification.
  • At least three years’ experience as a Welder (First Class) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in multiple welding methods including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Capability to work independently in regional and remote environments.
  • Sound understanding of occupational health and safety practices.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to live and work in a regional and remote area of Northern Australia.
  • English language proficiency sufficient to meet workplace communication requirements.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Annual salary of $65,500 plus superannuation
  • 4 weeks of annual leave
  • Opportunity to work on significant agricultural development projects with a leading agribusiness.
  • Join a forward-thinking team dedicated to sustainable farming practices.

If you are a qualified and experienced Welder (First Class) seeking a rewarding long-term position in regional Australia, we encourage you to apply.

To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
