The Position: Food Service Assistant
The Food Service Assistant performs assists in the preparation, delivery and service of meals to patients and staff to a high standard of excellence.
The Position

Ensures that direct working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and internal/external customers.

Adheres to the principles of the Equal Opportunity Act and Code of Conduct.

Participates as part of a team and maintain a high standard of staff morale.

Interprets menu cards for meal service to patients.

Assists with the washing of cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Assists with the washing up of large heavy duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.

Observes and practices all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene.

Assists with general kitchen hygiene, washing of walls, floors and refrigerators etc., and other areas as requested
