We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our small but high-performing Early Childhood Communications team in a key AO7 role. This is a 2-year opportunity to make a meaningful impact by leading the development and delivery of strategic communications initiatives and campaigns that shape the future of Queensland's young learners, workforce, and services.

As a versatile communicator, you'll bring strategic thinking, creativity, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to deliver high-impact internal and external communications. You will thrive in complex environments, communicating with clarity and influence to achieve outcomes that matter.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead end-to-end communication projects, from planning through to execution, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver innovative communication strategies and campaigns for early childhood education and care initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
  • Drive outcomes that support the Department's vision for early childhood education and care.

  • Has a proven track record in delivering strategic communications and campaigns in complex environments.
  • Demonstrates creativity and the ability to think strategically to solve challenges and deliver results.
  • Excels in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build trust and influence diverse audiences.
  • Is highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.


Mandatory Requirements

There are no mandatory qualifications or prerequisites for this role. However, a tertiary qualification in the field of communications, marketing, advertising, and/or events management is desirable for this role.
