️ About the RoleAs a Governance Trainee , you'll support the day-to-day operations that keep our Council running smoothly. From assisting in Council meetings to maintaining governance systems, you'll be at the heart of local government activities.
️ Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Governance and Civic Support team
- Assist in maintaining governance systems and databases
- Help prepare Council meeting agendas and minutes
- Conduct research and assist with report preparation
- Communicate effectively with team members and the public
- Commitment to completing Certificate III in Business Administration
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Team-oriented mindset
Applicants must have:
- Minimum of VCE completion
- Drivers licence (highly regarded)
- Structured 12-month traineeship with mentoring and support
- Training wage as per the National Training Wage Schedule
