This well established organisation is a national leader in water infrastructure delivery, known for its hands on approach to complex projects across Australia. With a growing pipeline in the water and utilities sector, they are delivering critical projects. Strong team culture and commitment to quality. They are now seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Project Engineer with a background in the water sector.

Your New Role

As the Electrical Senior Project Engineer, you will:

• Oversee the delivery of the electrical package for a major water infrastructure project
• Take responsibility for managing subcontractors with a focus on a large-scale electrical contractor
• Coordinate all aspects of electrical construction, including trenching, conduit installation, switchroom setup, and MCC integration
• Support commissioning readiness by working closely with the delivery and engineering teams
• Monitor budgets and control costs within the electrical scope, including managing variations and claims
• Develop and maintain construction programs with detailed three-week and three-month lookahead plans
• Ensure all work complies with Sydney Water documentation and quality requirements
• Manage all relevant project documentation including ITPs, as-built records, and non-conformance reports
• Collaborate with internal engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure progress and technical alignment

This role requires an experienced Electrical Engineer who can manage an entire electrical package with a high degree of independence, supported by a compact team of two Engineers.

About You

You're a confident Electrical Project Engineer/Electrical Senior Project Engineer with a proven track record in utilities or water projects and the ability to manage subcontractors, technical delivery, and project manage end-to-end.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• A strong electrical engineering background, with hands-on experience in water projects
• Deep understanding of electrical systems, switchboards, and commissioning
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale electrical subcontractor packages on projects exceeding $30–40 million
• Strong project management skills, including cost tracking, documentation, and program management
• Familiarity with Sydney Water specifications and requirements
• A desire for long-term engagement and growth within a stable project and business environment
