About the Role
Join McDowall State School as Head of Department (Curriculum) and lead the school's curriculum direction in alignment with departmental priorities. In this role, you will drive the quality of teaching and learning, support professional growth, and help deliver the vision of the State Schools Division. You'll foster strong relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community, contributing to a positive and high-performing culture. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on educational outcomes. This is a temporary full-time position commencing 07 August 2025 until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
