About The Role
As the Senior Transition Officer, you will be based at the Boarding or Residential Campus. You will lead the development and delivery of resources and information to support parents, carers, and schools in preparing Primary and P-10 students for entry into boarding school. In this role, you will foster positive relationships among students, teachers, and the broader community while managing various transition activities and phases. You will also coordinate resources and initiatives to ensure successful student transitions into the boarding environment.
Your Responsibilities
As the Senior Transition Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and implement transition planning activities.
* Engage with school Principals, communities and other relevant stakeholders to foster stronger linkages between communities and the Residential boarding school.
* Advise on specific academic, social and emotional needs of new arrivals.
* Provide transition advice and information including preparation of correspondence associated with Rural and Remote and Residential policy responses.
* Monitor and identify emerging issues that may impact on the transition of students from community to boarding school and coordinate the development of targeted responses to address those issues.
* Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
