About the role
We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. We’re on the lookout for a Finance Analyst to join our ART Life Actuarial & Finance team on a full time, permanent basis. In this role you’ll be diving into reinsurance and financial accounting data, helping with monthly bordereaux processes, and supporting the team with reconciliations, analysis, and stakeholder queries. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll get exposure to everything from journal entries and bank recs to supporting audits and statutory accounts. This is a perfect role if you are someone who has recently started or completed their professional accounting qualification (or are few years in), and you’re keen to apply your skills while continuing to learn!
We’re after someone who’s curious, collaborative, and ready to roll up their sleeves. You’ll be working closely with the Reinsurance Manager, Actuarial Team, and Finance Business Partners to keep things running smoothly and accurately. Whether it’s investigating data anomalies, improving reporting processes, or helping with ad-hoc analysis, you’ll be a key part of a team that values courage, empathy, and excellence. If you’re looking for a role where you can grow, contribute, and make a real impact—while being supported every step of the way—we’d love to hear from you.
Whilst anyone is welcome to apply, the team are based in Brisbane so we’re ideally looking for someone who is also based in Brisbane.
About you
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold (or are working towards) a professional accounting accreditation such as CAANZ or CPA, and bring relevant experience in financial or assistant accounting roles.
- You have a strong grasp of accounting principles, high-level numeracy and reconciliation skills, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- You’re confident using computerised accounting systems and Excel, with experience in Technology One Financials viewed favourably.
- You’re proactive, able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- You communicate effectively—both in writing and verbally—and ideally have exposure to superannuation, insurance, or financial services, along with knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations.
