We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter / Painting Trades Worker to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering stable employment and opportunities to work across a range of commercial, industrial, and strata projects throughout Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Erect scaffolding, ladders, and drop sheets to safely prepare work areas.
- Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing timberwork, filling cracks and holes, and sealing for even paint application.
- Mix paints to specified colours and finishes using appropriate thinning and drying agents.
- Apply coatings such as paint, stains, varnishes, and protective finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Install and finish wallpaper, aligning patterns and trimming edges.
- Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and job sites.
- Carry out minor repairs to windows, including replacing glass in frames when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial painting environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance procedures.
- Ability to interpret job specs and deliver high-quality finishes.
- Valid driver’s licence and police clearance preferred.
