The Opportunity :
The Senior Brand Manager – Frozen Foods will spearhead the growth of SPC frozen portfolio, encompassing both branded and private label products. This role is pivotal in aligning product innovation, marketing strategies, and commercial execution to drive significant growth in the frozen category, contributing to SPC Global’s overarching vision of delivering better food for the future.
Frozen food represents a strong area of growth for SPC Global, and more investments are expected in this area as it is key in driving profitable growth for the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Portfolio Strategy and Growth
- Lead the development and execution of the Frozen Foods brand strategy across both branded and private label
- Identify growth drivers and align marketing activities with SPC’s commercial objectives
- Develop annual plans and business cases for new initiatives
- Own the Frozen NPD pipeline from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of projects
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Sales to bring consumer-led innovation to market
- Drive stage gate process adherence and ensure project milestones are achieved
- Partner with Sales, Category, and Trade teams to build compelling retail propositions
- Lead development of customer marketing plans, including range, pricing, and promotional strategies.
- Monitor in-store execution and performance, driving corrective actions as needed
- Manage Frozen portfolio P&L, identifying margin improvement opportunities
- Track performance against KPIs including revenue, volume, share, and profitability
- Work with SRGM and Finance to optimize pricing and trade investment
Insights & Brand Health
- Monitor market trends, shopper behavior and competitor activity to guide decisions
- Use Nielsen / IRI / Quantium and consumer research to inform strategy and performance reviews.
- Drive brand equity and health tracking across channels
Cross-Functional leadership & Communication
- Be the key marketing lead for Frozen within internal teams and with key customers
- Champion SPC Global’s purpose and values in all initiatives.
- Engage and align stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to drive outcomes
The successful candidate will have :
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
- Strong FMCG brand management experience (ideally 8+ years), preferably including food, chilled or frozen categories.
- Proven success in developing and executing brand and category growth strategies.
- New product development and innovation pipeline management.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams from ideation to in-market delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen – ability to work closely with Sales, Category and Finance.
- Experience with private label and branded portfolio management.
- Proficient in Nielsen / IRI / Quantium, retailer insights, and category analysis.
- Results-oriented with a growth mindset and entrepreneurial energy.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Ability to influence at all levels internally and externally.
- Passion for food, sustainability, and consumer-led innovation.
