As General Manager, you’ll take the reins of a high-performing business with a multi-state footprint and strong international supply chain partnerships. Reporting directly to the Directors, this position is equal parts strategist, operator, and people leader.
You’ll work across business units to refine commercial strategies, improve operational efficiencies, and identify new market opportunities.
Your remit will span financial performance, organisational culture, customer success, supplier engagement, and change leadership.
This role is suited to a confident and experienced GM ready to have a real impact, someone with the vision to think big and the experience to execute with precision.
Key Areas of Focus
- Drive multi-year strategic planning, market expansion, commercial modelling, tendering, and key contract negotiations in partnership with the Directors.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and profitability while ensuring operational excellence, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all sites.
- Inspire high-performing, multi-state teams; manage workforce planning, EBAs, and industrial relations while fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including global suppliers and key clients, to support a resilient and efficient supply chain
About You
You're a proven leader with deep operational and commercial experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial services. You’re naturally strategic, highly adaptable, and capable of steering a business through growth and complexity.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial levers, P&L responsibility, and cash flow management.
- Adept at managing commercial contracts and building long-term client partnerships.
- Collaborative, decisive, and results-oriented, with a track record in change and performance leadership.
- High EQ and strong interpersonal skills; able to engage across all stakeholder groups.
- Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as required.
