Kimberley Grande Resort are eagerly seeking a friendly, experienced & passionate Receptionist (with RMS experience) to lead their young and energetic team in Kununurra to maximize productivity. Reporting to the Manager, you will help create a positive work environment while motivating and leading our reception staff to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The successful applicants must have 2/3 years' experience in the respective roles.

Receptionist

Responsibilities for this role include handling front desk duties and providing administrative support as the first point for guests checking in. Duties also include greeting guests and looking after their needs on arrival and during their stay, answering telephones, issuing invoices, managing bookings, and maintaining a tidy reception area. Completing basic administrative tasks for groups and functions, data entry, record keeping, and assisting with other office functions will also be required.

You will also have:

  • WA Approved Manager Card (desirable)
  • Experience as a Fire Warden and First Aid Officer (desirable)
  • Experience with hotel booking systems - including RMS (essential)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • The ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate employees to deliver a high standard of service
  • Commitment with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Proactive focus and shares a passion for the hospitality industry
  • Experience with large tour groups and functions
  • Accuracy with figures, a keen 'eye for detail'
  • Able to handle guest complaints tactfully, maintain the property reputation and gain a favourable outcome for the guest
Kitchenhand

We are also seeking an experienced Kitchenhand to join our team. Applicants must have 2/3 years' experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks :

  • Assists with food preparation - chopping vegetables, preparing salads, assembling sandwiches or as directed by chefs
  • Cleaning kitchen areas, food preparation areas and equipment
  • Cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants ensuring overall cleanliness
  • Maintaining stock and supplies
  • Transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment
  • Assisting with service by assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking, and preparing salads, savouries and sandwiches and other tasks related to food service
  • Packing food and beverage trays for serving
  • Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to ensure a clean and healthy work environment at all times
  • Perform basic tasks, such as heating food, toasting items or preparing simple dishes
Skills and attributes :
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pleasant, cooperative nature
  • Flexibility to work shifts or overtime
  • School leaver's certificate preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
  • Ability to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 10 kg
  • Willingness to work in a hot, humid environment and on your feet for long shift
The successful applicants will receive a remuneration of $55,000 - $80,000 (depending on position).
