QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About The Role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of state-wide planning, building, maintenance and disaster response services by assisting in the coordination, development, and management of service maintenance contracts. Your work will ensure that contracts meet quality standards and deliver value for money, contributing to the effective delivery of essential services for Queensland Government agencies.
Duties And Skills Involved
- Assist in the coordination, development, preparation and delivery of service maintenance contracts.
- Assist in providing advice and training to departmental staff and management to ensure the application of quality contract administration, practices, policies and procedures necessary for the effective administration and management of contracts by Regional Offices.
- Together with nominated regional officers, undertake Client and Contractor operational awareness and feedback sessions aimed at ensuring the effective management and delivery of service maintenance contracts.
- Work with the stakeholders to ensure innovative and commercially viable Service Maintenance Contracts which provide value outcomes to Clients, are developed and implemented uniformly throughout the department.
- Undertake the role of Superintendent's Representative as required.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to managing change and driving continuous improvement.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel functions, Word formatting and data analysis tools
- A thorough understanding of compliance, governance, and risk management principles.
