Our dynamic retirement livings team at Carlyle Gardens Retirement Village in Townsville is looking for committed and people centric Hospitality Manager to join their dedicated and close-knit team on a permanent full time basis.
Blue Care operate over 35 retirement villages across Queensland, with more than 3,300 residents choosing to make a Blue Care communities their home.
Reporting to the Senior Village Manager, you will provide leadership and management of hospitality services ensuring legislative compliance and best practice in the delivery of catering and housekeeping to support resident dietary and lifestyle needs. Is responsible for management and responding to individual resident and village emergency situations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures.

As a Chef Manager, you’ll take pride in your presentation, be knowledgeable in relation to nutrition and have a keen interest on the impact of dietary requirements on our aged residents.
You will have proven experience in catering services, people management and the ability to foster professional working relationships with the village residents and teams. Additionally, you will possess.

Qualifications, skills and experience in Hospitality, Business or a related discipline.

Experience in leading a team, service planning and exceptional organisational skills.

Demonstrated effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including computing skills.

Demonstrated financial and budget management experience.

Understanding of current workplace health and safety regulations (WHS) and continuous quality improvement practices.

Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workloads.

Food Safety Supervisor Certification.

Current First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
