We are seeking a talented Heavy Diesel Field Service Technician to join our Laverton branch, primarily supporting our Rail team with repairs and maintenance, while also assisting across our On-Highway and Power Generation departments.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field, this will be on an on-call roster
  • Diagnose and repair engines
  • Inspect and replace components as required
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic (to Australian standards)
  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of rail heavy diesel products and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
  • Valid Australian Driver’s license required

Qualifications

Additional Information:

  • Full Time / 38 hours per week
  • Morning Shift (6:00am – 14:06pm)
  • Overtime as required – Penalty rates paid for all work above 38 hours
  • All your Safety equipment / PPE and uniforms are provided and laundered
  • Domestic Relocation from across Australia may be offered for the right candidate
  • The successful candidate will be required to participate in an afterhours on-call roster every 6 weeks
  • Local Valid Drivers License is required
