What We’re Looking For...
Reporting to the Head of Software Systems, the primary role of this position is to participate in the specification, design, implementation and testing of firmware components for use in Saluda Medical products and testing utilities.
This role would suit someone familiar with working in a Medical Device or similar industry with strong quality controls and documentation requirements.
Your role will include:
- Testing of application and embedded system software
- Developing test requirements and verification protocols
- UI specification, prototyping, development & business logic implementation
- Contributing to and participating in requirements and design review meetings
- Preparation and review of system documentation
- Developing test requirements and verification protocols
- Producing design-related documentation to meet medical device requirements
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the specification, design, development and testing of firmware (bare metal)
- Expert in C
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with C#, Python or similar languages for PC application development and scripting
- Experience with and commitment to software development in a QA controlled environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A team player and ability to work as a self-managed professional.
It’s not essential, but nice if you have:
- Experience in working in an agile software development environment
- Experience in software architecture development and software design
- Experience in medical device design and development
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
- Experience in the neuromodulation industry
