Our client is a dedicated Insolvency and Restructuring practice known for its supportive culture and commitment to developing its team. Due to increasing workflow, they are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to become an integral part of their business insolvency and advisory team, contributing directly to client success and maintaining high standards of reporting.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Engagement Management: Managing day-to-day operational aspects of formal insolvency appointments (e.g., trade-ons, liquidations, receiverships, administrations, receipts/payments, asset management).
  • Stakeholder Communication: Assisting with clear and professional communication (written and verbal) with clients, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Advisory Support: Supporting the team on informal advisory engagements, such as independent business reviews and turnaround assignments.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Compiling financial information, conducting analysis, drawing conclusions, and assisting with report preparation.
  • Investigations: Assisting with investigations into antecedent transactions and insolvent trading, ensuring compliance and timely reporting of any contraventions.
  • Relationship Building: Developing professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, representing the firm's capabilities.
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to insolvency, restructuring, or forensic accounting.
  • Qualifications: A relevant bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar).
  • Professional Certification: CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion (support provided).
  • Technical Aptitude: A foundational understanding of accounting principles and a strong interest in insolvency legislation and practice.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective interaction with team members and external parties.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness, essential for sensitive financial work.
  • Work Ethic: Proactive, adaptable, eager to learn, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a changing environment.
