The Location.


Fernhill is a large 164 bed Residential Aged Care Home located in Caboolture, close to public transport and shopping precinct.


About the role


We are looking for two part-time Activities Officers who has exposure to Dementia within Aged Care, to empower and engage with our Residents to maximise their participation in Leisure and Lifestyle programs


Our focus for residents is what best suits their individual needs and wants, our activities officers facilitate this through:



  • Participation in the development, implementation and assessment of therapeutic plans
  • Supporting residents to engage in their leisure and lifestyle choices and activities
  • Supporting staff and volunteers in provision of leisure and lifestyle programs

Requirements for this role



  • Experience in an Aged Care or supporting Residents with dementia
  • lifestyle and leisure programs
  • Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle, or equivalent experienced deemed appropriate.
  • Ability to provide high quality Leisure and Lifestyle programs towards improved customer wellbeing.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently as well as participate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines relevant to the aged and community care environment.

What do we need from you?



  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification
  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
  • Agreement for Police Check
  • Up-to-date flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in a Care role is highly regarded
  • NDIS Clearance (Where required)
