There are mandatory requirements needing to be met to become a Senior Team Leader. These are:- Possession of a degree or equivalent in accordance with the CSO Mandatory Qualifications (https://www.families.qld.gov.au/campaign/cso-careers/becomecso/qualifications), and- Possession of a 'C' class driver's licence
Senior Team leaders provide leadership to and management of a team of professional and operational staff to ensure the delivery of high quality child protection services that includes assessment, intervention, casework and case management in accordance with legislation and practice guidelines to children, young people, families and communities serviced by the Child Safety Service Centre (CSSC). This is achieved by a collaborative integrated multi-disciplinary team (that may include representation from other agencies).
The Senior Team Leader will supervise a team of Child Safety Officers and need to demonstrate a high level of leadership skills as well as a robust risk assessment framework with a focus on quality practice of the child protection continuum.
